Newlands Agility & more Cattle Dogs

Today we headed back to Cranleigh in Surrey this time for the Newlands agility show. I'm afraid today just wasnt our day. Neither myself or the dogs were running at our best.

We did have the pleasure however of spending the day in the company of other ACDs Miah and Winston & Mutley, and their owners. These are the first ACDs I have seen in the UK and I think we set somewhat of a precedent having 5 ACDs at the one english agility trial.

Tooheys had one run in the morning, Grade 3 jumping. He ran well on this course, but he missed my cue due to a badly timed front cross between jumps 6 & 7 and ended up backjumping 7.

In the afternoon we had Grade 3 agility where he blew his dogwalk contact, weave entry and last weave pole. This was followed by another jumping run where for some reason he ran straight past jump 4 despite it being directly in front of him.

Hollie had a run in veterans jumping which was a straight forward flowing course, but somehow we still managed to come away with a refusal. She enjoyed herself though & thats the main things!
