Well the other weekend the Delinquent Dogz finals weekend came and went. And what a great weekend it was. The weather was variable but didnt put a dampner on things. Thanks must go yet again to Michelle and Eileen for putting these shows on as they are alot of fun, and very laid back.
Alot of friends did very well, but Im not going to attempt to name them as my memory will fail me and Ill forget someone.
And we didnt do too badly either. Hollie went clear in her first agility run on saturday but pulled up stiff afterwards so I scratched the rest of her runs.
Tooheys did some very nice work but our dogwalk contacts left a little to be desired, and even when I was determined to work criteria I let it slip. He ended up with a clear round in jumping in saturday, albeit quite messy - I handled it differently to most before me and while it should have worked quite nicely it seems that Tooheys has forgotten all the tight work that he developed last year. We managed to pull it together though for 3rd place despite time wasting.
Sunday afternoon was the finals. Hollie was a good girl running 2 clear round to win both the veterans agility AND jumping finals.
Tooheys had 2 nice runs but unfortunately no clears. He finally had a perfect dogwalk contact in agility only for me to ease up on the Aframe (which had been perfect all weekend) and him miss that contact. In jumping he lost his footing and smacked a jump.
So now we're looking forward to the next season of DD shows.
